Update

Hey guys, So its been a little while since I have been able to get on here and give you all an update...heres the latest...Our concert was able to raise about $1400 and we were able to reach out to about 150 people that night to let them know just what we are doing in South Africa. Our yard sale was our biggest fundraiser so far and we raised about $1480. (thank you so much for everyone who donated and helped out that day). We are done with all the major fundraisers but you can still make a donation to Trinity Evangelical Church in Peterborough NH, the address is posted on the right, and we can use all the prayer we can get. We recently found out that we will be building a playground and a garden in the orphange, as well as ministering to the families around Peit Retief. Thank you all so much for your support. God Bless.

Update

Monadnock ledger has agreed to write an article about this mission and the fundraising efforts we are doing. I think it will be in the May 6th paper. And we have the bake sale coming up on May 8th, at Market basket in Rindge. Fresh baked goods and helping some orphanes, not a bad deal. God Bless you all and have a safe weekend.

Gods Glory

How cool is god...He provides and blesses us with so much in this life, and all he asks of us is to use our blessings to be blessings to others. We just had another team meeting and finalized some plans for our fundraising. The benefit concert is going to be so much fun. We have so many talented artist like Mattie Mcgrail and Ken Sheldon performing. Good food, good music and good people and all of it to glorify God and help his struggling people in South Africa. Can't wait to see you all there.

Deb's cut-a-thon

Deb held a Cut-A-Thon in Keene a few weeks ago. She had balloons and signs to let folks know she was there. At the end of the day she single-handedly (well, with her "snippers") raised $275.00 for the kids in South Africa!

Thursday, March 11, 2010

So we have a date for the concert, May 15th from 8-11pm. Mattie Mcgrail will be headlining and we will have a few more acts hopefully. All the details are getting worked out and I will continue to keep you all updated as we progress forward.

Hey everyone and welcome to the official website for the Relief for Piet Retief mission to South Africa. My goal for this site is to be able to provide up to date information on all of our fundraising events, money raised and specifics as to when and where we are going. I have included how to make donations to this orphanage through Trinity Church and you will also find lots of information on what our mission is and how everyone can make a positive difference in the lives of the people of Piet Retief, through prayer and/or donations. All the money raised through our fundraisers and your donations will be used 100% for the orphanage. So please take a look around here and gather all the information you can, pray on it and ask God how you can be of service to this mission. God bless you all.
